"The story focuses on a group of eighteen people on a secluded island for a period of two days, and the mysterious murders that befall most of the people. The goal of the game is to discern whether the murderer is human or of some other supernatural source."Umineko is the type of game that simply strings you along into thinking like it wants and then mindblowns you away when you discover...that it's been lying to you and you can't really trust anyone, and there comes a time when you don't know what's the truth or what's the lie anymore. I really loved this one though it got a bit hard when such a huge cast of characters was at one spot but the good thing is that the game expands characters as it goes on, so you get time enough to know and adapt to them. Otherwise, I think I would go loony with the number of names and so on. The fun'est of this game was the theories and discussions of who did it, how did it and why did it that each new arc brought along. Swapping information and trading theories. I also liked how you need a brain to assemble all the pieces of information that this puzzle gave and that, like Higurashi, you can know who the true killer is after the first arc/4 episodes. Have you played it? What did you think? I'm quite eager to talk about this game, after all...so much is open to discussion, which is fun!

This game R-O-C-K-S.
Really, one of the best murder/mystery I've ever seen on a PC. It still follows the format of Higurashi because the depth of the characters is so great, only with a multi layered episode we can actually start to understanding them. The writing is awesome and, while I can't consider it scary, it is one of the best VN's around.
