"Set sometime in classical Japanese history, Ōkami combines several Japanese myths, legends and folklore to tell the story of how the land was saved from darkness by the Shinto sun goddess, named Amaterasu, who took the form of a white wolf. It features a distinct sumi-e-inspired cel-shaded visual style and the Celestial Brush, a gesture-system to perform miracles."I'm utterly delighted that this awesome, beautiful and peculiar game is getting an HD remake for the PS3, I think it deserves it! I love the way you get points to make Amaterasu stronger is by feeding animals, blooming trees, cleaning the earth from the evil influence of Oromachi you get praise, and the animals have pink hearts after you feed them <3 I also love how you don't need to fight at all, besides the boss fights, you can escape them all because they won't give you experience, only demon fangs if you pee on them, and they won't give you any equipment either, only money. The beauty of Okami is how fresh, relaxing and different it is. Sometimes I simply go to play it and make Amaterasu run through fields and enchanting landscapes while I listen to the awesome soundrack. *sighs dreamily* I wonder if anyone has played it, is playing it or what. I haven't finished it but it's such a guilty pleasure of mine that...I can't help the feeling of "I never want this game to finish"~

A mod necroing topics? Yes, that's something you can find at Shunyaru! I finally started playing this game on PS2 and I just have to say it's pure love! It's a good change from the time consuming .hack-grinding I do, because I can save way more often, but except for that there's so many things to love with it, like the soundtrack or the mythical base it has in the Shinto folklore. Also, it's Orochi, nor Oromachi.
